Children and youth who dance gain confidence, physical and mental fitness, and love to express themselves. Dancers rely on each other as a team and learn early on the importance of trust, teamwork, and shared goals. Plus they make life-long friends!
Creative Kids partners with 150 high quality recreational and competitive dance studios in all parts of Saskatchewan. There is probably one near you!
Many dance studios offer several kinds of dance classes, from ballet, tap, and jazz to modern dance and hip hop. We also fund dance lessons that connects kids to their roots — Métis jigging, Irish, Ukrainian, and salsa dance classes, for instance.
Families can apply for up to $750 financial assistance per child for dance classes.
Application Tips
Dancewear: You can apply for up to $150 for dance shoes and dancewear if the dance class costs less than $750. For instance, if a class that takes place from September to June costs $680, you can apply for up to $70 for dancewear and dance shoes, for a total grant of $750.
