Program funding open for applications: Creative Kids Program Fund

Program funding open for applications: Creative Kids Program Fund

July 28, 2026

Creative Kids now offers two types of funding!

Typically, Creative Kids helps families by offering individual grants to cover lesson costs. Parents and guardians can apply for individual grants for their children at deadlines throughout the year. Keep track of the upcoming deadlines by visiting the apply now page.

However, sometimes funding an entire program is more effective. That’s why we are introducing the Creative Kids Program Fund! Open now for applications.

This fund is for organizations that run programs for children, such as libraries offering art classes for the public, or a dance studio that is creating inclusive dance classes for children who have a disability, or a non-profit organization partnering with a music teacher to bring music lessons into a community. Note that parents and children are not eligible to apply for the Creative Kids Program Fund.

What is the Creative Kids Program Fund?

The Creative Kids Program Fund supports quality programming that is primarily artistic or cultural. We value programs that build community and enhance children and youth’s mental health, inclusion, well-being, confidence, personal expression, and growth.

We also aim to reduce social barriers: programs that are youth-led; programs in rural communities; programs that uplift equity-deserving kids such as Indigenous youth, kids who are new to Canada, people of colour, people with disabilities, 2SLGBTQ+ youth, or people struggling with mental health are high priorities for the Creative Kids Program Fund.

Who can apply?

Youth, community leaders, Creative Kids service providers, school counselors or mental health support teams, and non-profit organizations can apply.

Creative Kids service providers are eligible, but have best results when meeting a specific community need that explains the need for program funding.

Activities can be held at a school or include partnerships with schools, but cannot be part of the school curriculum.

Applicants with unresolved SaskCulture grant reports are not eligible.

How much can I apply for?
